The 1.0–4.0 mm 3003 aluminum circles (deep drawing quality, ceramic or PTFE coated) are currently the most widely adopted alloy worldwide for the base disc of non-stick fry pans, saucepans, woks, grill pans, induction cookware and multi-layer clad bottoms.
Compared to 1050/1060 (softer & lower strength) or 3004/5182 (stronger but higher cost), 3003 provides the optimal balance for modern non-stick cookware manufacturing:
Mn alloying (1.0–1.5%) → 20–30% higher strength & better dent resistance
Excellent deep-drawing & stretching performance (no orange peel, minimal earing)
Uniform fine grain structure → smooth surface after coating & forming
Very good corrosion resistance to food acids & daily washing
Cost-effective while meeting all major cookware brand quality standards
Coating compatibility:Ceramic (sol-gel or reinforced) — high scratch resistance, metal-utensil safe,PTFE (Teflon® / similar) — classic non-stick, low-friction release,Base circle temper: O / H12 / H14 / H16 (deep drawing optimized)

Q1: Why choose 3003 circles over 1050/1060 or 3004 for non-stick pans?
A: 3003 offers 20–30% higher strength & better dent/warp resistance than 1050/1060 while remaining much lower cost than 3004. It has excellent deep-drawing performance and uniform coating adhesion — making it the industry standard for most mid-to-high-end non-stick cookware.
Q2: How does 3003 perform in deep drawing & does it show orange peel or earing?
A: 3003 has very low earing (≤3%) and minimal orange peel due to fine grain control. It achieves deep pan bodies (drawing ratio >2.0) without cracking. We provide deep-draw samples & forming limit diagrams.
Q3: Is 3003 suitable for induction cookware with clad stainless disc?
A: Yes — 3003 is widely used as the base layer in tri-ply / 3-ply induction cookware (stainless / aluminum / stainless). We supply circles pre-bonded or ready for cladding.
Q4: Minimum order quantity & lead time for custom diameter or coating?
A: MOQ 1 ton (depending on diameter); standard sizes 15–25 days; custom diameter or special coating 25–35 days. Sample circles free with freight collect.
Q5: How does 3003 hold up to dishwasher cycles & food acids?
A: Excellent — no pitting or coating degradation after 1000+ dishwasher cycles or prolonged contact with tomato sauce, vinegar, etc. Food-acid immersion & dishwasher test data available.
Q6: Can the circles be embossed or textured before coating for premium look?
A: Yes — 3003 supports light embossing / texturing. We provide embossed + coated samples for non-slip or decorative effects.
