The 0.5–1.5 mm 5005 mirror anodized aluminum sheet is currently the premium architectural & industrial lighting reflector material of choice worldwide, especially for applications demanding the highest specular reflection, color consistency and long-term outdoor/indoor stability.

Compared to 1050/1100 (higher raw reflectivity but softer & less durable) or 6061 (stronger but poorer anodizing response), 5005 delivers the optimal balance for professional lighting manufacturers:

Mg alloying (0.5–1.0%) → significantly higher hardness & corrosion resistance after anodizing

Excellent base for mirror polishing → achieves 94–96% total reflectivity post-anodizing
