The 1.0–3.0 mm 5052 aluminum sheet (mill finish or coated) is currently the global industry standard for premium truck body panels, dump truck liners, trailer side walls, refrigerated truck interiors and refuse truck bodies.

Compared to 3003/3105 (softer) or 5083/5454 (stronger but heavier & more expensive), 5052 delivers the optimal sweet spot for commercial truck & trailer manufacturers:

High strength-to-weight ratio → excellent dent & impact resistance from road debris
