Aluminum Alloy 5052 Ecoclad (1.5mm × 1500mm) for Photovoltaic Integrated Curtain Wall

Product Description:

The Aluminum Alloy 5052 Ecoclad, with a thickness of 1.5mm and a width of 1500mm, is a non-heat-treatable aluminum-magnesium alloy composed of aluminum (95.7-97.7%), magnesium (2.2-2.8%), chromium (0.15-0.35%), and trace amounts of other elements. In H32 temper or similar, it offers high fatigue strength (tensile strength ~230-280 MPa), excellent corrosion resistance, and good formability (elongation ~7-10%). Designed for photovoltaic integrated curtain walls (BIPV), the Ecoclad coating or treatment enhances weather resistance and solar integration. Its lightweight nature (density ~2.68 g/cm³) reduces structural loads, while its recyclability (recovery rate >95%) supports sustainable construction. The 1500mm width enables efficient production for large-scale facade panels, combining energy generation with architectural aesthetics.

Advantages

Core Benefits:

Advantage Detailed description

High Strength

Tensile strength of 230-280 MPa in H32 temper ensures structural integrity for large facade panels.

Weldability

Readily weldable using MIG or TIG, ensuring strong joints for integrated solar facades.

Corrosion Resistance

Magnesium and chromium provide superior resistance to saltwater, humidity, and pollutants, ideal for coastal and urban environments.

High Formability

Elongation (~7-10% in H32 temper) allows for shaping into complex BIPV designs without cracking.

Cost-Effectiveness

Compatible with coatings or anodizing for customizable colors and finishes, enhancing building aesthetics.

Lightweight Design

Density of 2.68 g/cm³ reduces building loads by up to 30% compared to steel, lowering construction costs.
